In early 2023, the Indonesian government issued a new regulation regarding the selection of state universities (PTN) through the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT). This regulation was issued with the aim of improving the quality of students accepted at PTN, as well as reducing inequality in access to education in Indonesia.

1. Scholastic Potential Test (TPS)

The abilities tested in this subtest include arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability. The total duration of this subtest is 45 minutes with 15 questions.
Verbal Reasoning Ability
This subtest aims to test a person’s ability to understand text and identify the arguments presented. The abilities tested in this subtest include the ability to read, understand, and interpret text, as well as the ability to identify arguments explained in the text. The total duration of this subtest is 30 minutes with 10 questions.
General Knowledge and Understanding Ability
This subtest aims to test a person’s knowledge and understanding of various topics. Such as history geography, sociology, and so on.
